DescriptionHusaband and wife team Liliane & Fred Funcken created adventure strips that were both very-well documented and highly enjoyable. Their stories always had a twist that took you by surprise and left you wanting for more...My favourite has always been "Le Chevalier Blanc" (the White Knight), a great middle-age strip that (alas, again!...) is nearly impossible to find now, having never been properly republished... This pin-up appeared in Tintin Magazine in 1960 as a teasing to announce the upcoming publication of the latest adventure of Le Chevalier Blanc, "Echec au Roi". Since it was also, in my opinion, one of the very best, I was delighted to find this prime example of Liliane & Fred Funcken's art! Update: Much to my delight, the whole "Chevalier Blanc" series has now been beautifully republished as a 12-album collection. A true labor of love that I fully appreciate!... Social/Sharing |

Je ne vois pas beaucoup de planches et de dessins des Funcken en circulation,... mais je ne désespère pas d'ajouter au moins une belle planche du Chevalier Blanc et une de Capitan ! A propos, félicitations pour votre collection : les Fucnken, bien sur, mais aussi tout le reste et surtout... votre superbe galerie de Pierre Joubert ! Trouver une couverture de Bob Morane fait également partie de mes rêves ! Cordialement Al
