Description

After a neverending battle with tech support for Charter, Cisco, and Dell, I am finally able to retrieve some art from my old camera's sd card. Here is the first piece, a Batman and Gargoyle that will be going into Ari Shapiro's Batman / Gargoyle collection and gallery.
Most of his pieces feature Batman in a dominant pose either standing atop of or swinging from or around a gargoyle, but I wanted to do something a little different and have Batman looking a little more vulnerable as one of his gargoyle's has had a wide grin chiseled onto it's face by an unknown (ok... really... we all know who did it) rogue.
I like to think of Batman seeking solace hanging out with those gargoyles... almost like a family. What would he do if someone interrupted that balance and vandalized or assaulted his family? Could he ever find the same comfort among his stone brotheren?
Lightning flashes but the storm hasn't eclipsed the full moon yet as we see the Joker sneaking up from behind... hammer and chisel in hand. Is Batman too preoccupied to notice? With a look of worry and concern on Batman's face and the cracking of thunder masking his movements, the Joker might just be able to sneak up behind Batman and bring an end to his battles with the Bat!
