Description

I'd seen this great variant cover that Bob Layton'd done for Iron Man #225 on his site. It had Iron Man tangling with Crimson Dynamo and Titanium Man. ~Super~ cool. I got me thinking of something similar, specifically Superman fighting Luthor and the Brainiac. That quickly changed, though, into the classic Perez era JLA instead taking on appropriate Marvel counterparts as a part of a grand free-for-all mash-up!

I came across Nicholas's Blue Blaster character / web series via deviantArt. Nice old school style that I thought'd really fit well with this idea. Firestorm ended up being one of the harder ones for me to match up. I couldn't see a direct corollary to anyone in Marvel and ended up just riffing on the JLA Avengers Firestorm / Iron Man idea. I've always dug Blacklash (before he become Whiplash or Captain S&M) and Radioactive Man struck me as good fit. Some nice work from Nicholas. Definitely dig Firestorm's face here.

I hope to, one day, fill out the complete Justice League roster :)

Nice. I tend to associated FIrestorm with Marvel's Nova - they were a couple years apart, but still.
