Batsman by Ibrahim Moustafa

I first saw Ibrahim's art online and I really dug it. More recently he's been greatly impressing me with his work on High Crimes, a series you really should check out if you haven't already. Anyway, I have a few commission ideas for him but the first one I wanted to go with was Batsman. Ibrahim told me that "I played with some action poses, but after thinking about it a lot, I went for a stoic feel. Bruce is such a brooding character that it made sense to me for a virtual embodiment of his consciousness would act in much the same way, trying to emulate its human counterpart, despite it not being human itself. I added a cityscape modeled after the style of buildings from Batman Beyond for good measure." And the result is gorgeous, as you can plainly see. I really dig the pose, the light source from Batsman's body, and the cityscape. Ibrahim's work with markers here is truly impressive as well. Anyway, big thanks to Jerry at Serendipity Art for setting this up and to Ibrahim for the excellent work!

Ibrahim's marker work is sublime. What, at first glance, seems simplistic in its execution is, in fact, an intricately executed piece of artistic prowess down to the individual marker strokes that both define form and luminescent definition. I'm truly impressed with this particular Batsman entry. Kudos!
