Scalped #49 | You Gotta Sin To Get Saved (11x17)

"Do madmen have moments when they realize they're insane?"

A common theme for fans of Scalped, but this another one of those issues that you will never forget if you read the series. The high tension and eventual shootout between Dash and Catcher is right up there as one of the more lasting images of Scalped. Drawn masterfully by R.M. Guera as usual, this splash depicts Dash dragging Officer Falls Down to safety after his encounter with Catcher. This scene is thematically in-line with the exemplary scenes between Catcher and Dash where shadows and lightning really set the mood. One thing Guera does so well in the series is really bring out the emotion and tension in the writing, and this is no exception.
