Scalped #9 | Casino Boogie (11x17)

This is probably one of my favorite issues in the whole series, it really brings Catcher to the forefront and is incredibly moving and powerful. There's some excellent character development here, and I think Catcher is a little underrated in the series both from a storytelling and artistic perspective. Guera's depictions of Catcher is very nuanced and the scenes with Granny Poor Bear are some of the most powerful in the series.

When talking to R.M. Guera about this page, he mentioned the composition logic used here and how symmetry and the iconic nature of the character is highlighted -- really adds a very surreal feel to the page. My sincere gratitude to him for the art.
