Reminds me of George Herriman's Krazy Kat art scapes, There's definitely a certain nostalgic charm to the simplicity of this page.

Yes, it's one of my favorites. Very design-y and graphical, if those terms are appropriate. Drawn just for the sake of a beautiful drawing. I love all of Doug's work, but his later art serves primarily the story, whereas this page is just to make something beautiful.

I loved the Herriman like pages in Doug's EWJ comic. Can't get enough of that universe.
