I really wish we could see more from Vatche Mavlian. His work hearkens back to the Golden Age of illustration. I love the quality of his inking. I'm not sure what this piece is from, but it is a fantastic action scene. Is shares kinship with Buck, Flash, and EC.

Nice additions to your collection. I met Vatche when he was first doing comic art. A really nice guy and self taught. Lots of Dave Stevens, Wrightson and Frazetta in his work. This is a great image and knowing what his work looks like in person, this is a great piece.
