Description

I love Nick's work an awful lot, and have a really big grail piece by him coming soon, but in the meantime I had to take advantage of NSNart's annual Feb 20% off sale and get this one I have been eyeing for a long time. In talking to Nick over time, he had mentioned that the 2 movie poster paintings he did for this movie were some of his proudest work, yet they sat unsold on the site. I had looked at them many times, but since I didn't know the movie, I wasn't chomping at the bit to buy them. But we discussed the movie and what it was like for him working with the Director on the poster designs. And right then I decided to look up the movie and watch it, and I gotta say it was a pretty damn good little independent film. So then I knew I had to at least buy one of them, and I like this one a little more than the other. If I wasn't in payments on other pieces right now, I would have bought both though:) This amazingly realistic painting is about 17x24, painted in his mixed media of acrylic paint and colored pencils on thick illustration board, and it was the C2E2 2011 exclusive version of the movie poster. This will soon be framed up proper.

The details on the jacket are pretty amazing. Nick does nice art for the price. Good one Dave!!!!
