DescriptionImage Comics. April, 2008.The death of the short-lived villain who forever changed Rick Grimes's story of survival horror. In retribution for killing baby Judith, Lilly shoots the Governor's brains out and kicks his body to the oncoming zombies. He wasn't even given a full splash making this one of the most intense and cinematic interior panel pages in the whole series. Not to mention the most satisfying death in the series! The death of one of the most sadistic comic book villains of all time.. at the expense of so many other cast members, it was almost unsatisfying. That is GREAT writing! This page was also printed on cover B to issue 106, included with a handful of important pages from issues 7-105 to commemorate Adlard's 100th issue on the series. It's visible on the bottom left behind the creator names. Parts of the page were also printed in the Walking Dead Survival Guide. The top panel has been used as inspiration for variant cover images that reprint the issue. Big thanks to Jerry S. for working with me on this. Social/Sharing |

We all have that page on our mind...
Mine is the truly disgusting eye removal page with Michonne and the Governor or any of the hideous pages from that issue. Survival of parts horror! Lol.

nice collection of Walking Dead comic pages! I had only watched the show, but the Governor always felt like their best villain to me. Nice page.

Absolutely stunning page from an absolutely stunning issue of Walking Dead. That top panel is one of the most memorable images from the series for me. It was such a ground breaking series in so many ways. There had never been a comic book series so bleak in its portrayal of a dystopian future. And we as readers tooks such delight in its depictions of murder and disfigurement. Memorable page from a memorable book. Congrats.
