Description

This cool pen & ink drawing by the maestro Jack Davis appeared on the cover of Gore Vidal's 1963 book, "Rocking the Boat". The cover features Jack and Bobby Kennedy, as well as George Bernard Shaw, and William Faulkner. The book is filled with essays and various writings by Vidal. I'm picturing a cover image that I found online below. This is some of my favorite kind of Davis' work, with that mix of tightness and looseness in the inks.
