I really fell for this drawing when I first saw it on CAF, and I was delighted when it appeared on the auction block recently. Thanks to Raymond for parting with it and for getting it to me in great shape!

I love the intensity in this piece, and Finch's characteristic touches are clearly in evidence here --- huge arms, tight pecs, and great design in the hair, hands, and reflections in the forearms. Finch combines the cross-hatching calligraphy of the Top Cow house style with solid 3-D modeling via bold cast and form shadows and it really works for my taste. I'm thrilled to have a nice example of Finch's pencil work. Thanks for taking a look!
