DescriptionWhen I was in Dallas last year, I picked up several interior pages to the City of Others issues and sure wish I could have afforded more! When I saw this post last week, I just had to have it. The cover with Blud standing in the water with the "Torrent of Light" shining upon him was my favorite of the series.Bernie's Frankenstein plate titled "A Torrent of Light into our dark world" and "To examine the causes of life, we must first have recourse to death", have long been a favorites in part for the way Wrightson seems to have a way of capturing sunlight. Liz stated in her CAF description "Finished pencils on standard comic board. Dark Horse. (pencils were the final form)", the page has been done only using pencils. While I'd preferred this to be ink for the resilience, it's amazing to me how Bernie can pull off such a wide variety of shading with only pencils. Really looking forward to seeing this, and thanks again to Bernie and Liz for making such great pieces available... Social/Sharing |
