Description
This is an interesting item: A recreation of the grammy award winning art to the Beatles 1966 masterpiece 'Revolver" LP, done by the original artist and Beatles friend, KLAUS VOORMANN. Klaus is a German artist that also played bass guitar on nearly all the solo Beatles LPs from 1970-1976 too. I'm trying to find out why he did this-- it's too finished for it to be the preliminary, and Eagles Guitarist Joe Walsh owns the original art. A great gem that measures 8" all around and done in ink, with correction white out evident on top right border, Paul's chin and eyes, George's face, Ringo's nose. This little gem sits nicely at the crossroads of my two collecting interests, art and 1960s rock/pop music. This is an iconic and important image in both Beatles and in 1960s pop music histories!

I can't believe this exists. It is a remarkable piece of art featuring the world's all time greatest band. If you find out any other info on what inspired this version please let me know Rob. Really cool to look at the album cover and your art side by side.

Nice one! I think this was a study Klaus made for Mojo magazine some years back.
