DescriptionThis is a commission idea that I came up with with my good friend Robert. When we came up with the plan to do a Venom / Punisher hybrid, neither of us actually knew there had been a character already until I Googled it. Either way, here is my take on the character with a little back story (if I may)...Disappointed with the constant failed attempts to destroy Spiderman, the alien symbiote decided that Eddie Brock was the weak link in their partnership and rejected him, going out to find a more suitable, dangerous and lethal human host. After searching for a human with the rage and aggression to match its own, it came upon Frank Castle. Tormenting Frank through his dreams with visions of his murdered family and the screaming faces of victims he could never help, the symbiote quickly offered Frank a "better way" to deal with the criminal element. Deciding that he liked the added strength and stealth the symbiote could provide, he decided to accept the alien parasite and use its power to his benefit. Thus the bond was able to take place. The symbiote had found a host whose rage matched his own... as well as a desire to help the weak and victimized. Knowing that it could not devote itself completely to Frank and their longterm mission of helping the innocent, the symbiote decided that it would need to finally do away with the constant thorn in its side... end it's blood lust for Spiderman! Along with Frank's tactical skill and fighting prowess, the combination was finally too much for Spiderman and the symbiote was able to claim his life and subdue the anger and hatred it felt inside. Deciding to do away with any ties to the webslinger, the symbiote opted to change his physical appearance into something more fitting his new bond. Thus it ripped away its own face and now bears a skull which pays homage to Frank's own Punisher costume. Hanging Spiderman's limp body up like a prized catch and gutting the webslinger in one final act of defiance, he used Spiderman's own blood to paint his new symbol upon his chest. Combining the Punisher skull along with the spider legs of his old symbol, he creates an eerie new visage to strike fear into the hearts of those that would prey on the innocent and begins his work anew. I think you need a better understanding of the character... the Punisher is not about helping the innocent... he's not Batman. He only wants to kill criminals. Frank had more control over the symbiote in the What If issue and was able too prevent it from killing Spider-Man and was able to take full control. Here, you've made him into a different character that's pretty weak. Here he ends up being more like Venom than the Punisher...

Wow Jamie this is the first time I'm seeing this. My internet has been jacked up but I can't wait for this to hit my wall. They are coming to fix it tomorrow and I will email you ASAP. Love the all the crazy detail, thanks buddy.
