Description

Fantasic and large 20 x 29" original done from 1976-1979...it is of Mary, the mother of Jesus, receiving a figurative cup from the angel Gabriel announcing to her that she shall give birth to the Savior, Jesus Christ. Barry explains in his OPUS 2 that since he 'wasn't big on the scriptures', he didn't know the angel was a male and not a female...hence, 'Gabriella'...a powerful and detailed work.
