Stormwatch 37 p31 by Tom Raney

I have often written in my gallery about, in my opinion, the importance of The Authority and how it had changed comics in the 90s, opening the door to realistic in the depiction of violence and world issues as well as widescreen super heroes for the 2000s.

Well that chaping run began in Stormwatch when Warren Ellis and Tom Raney revamped the title that would lead to the Authority. Though less considered, Stormwatch is equally important in my eyes and is part of a whole with the Authority.

Stormwatch 37 was the first issue of that historic run. Raney though not as good as he is today was already a great artist and excellent storyteller as shown here.
