Description

This is a beautiful final pencil prelim sketch for Alex Ross' 75th anniversary variant cover of The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 3 #1; the book that marks the return of Peter Parker. Both the final painting and this sketch are featured on separate variant "incentive" covers for this landmark issue. Also, a limited edition "Giclée Canvas" of the final painting is being sold under the title "With Great Power," Ross offered an exclusive print of the finished image at the 2014 San Diego Comic Con and this sketch is featured in his 2014 SDCC sketchbook.

It is truly an amazing piece (pun intended) and I owe a special thanks to fellow comic art fan Joe P, for hooking me up.

Beautiful! I remember being so impressed with this one that I shelled out extra to buy the 1:300 sketch issue at my comic shop when it hit the stands. Ross is so good, love it.
