Description

Penciled, inked and Hand-Colored by the great John Romita Sr., this beautiful and very rare piece of artwork dates back to the 1970s. It was used for the cover of an issue of The Electric Factory Magazine
[included in the additional images]. It can also be found on the header of everyone's "friendly neighborhood" art dealer, Mike Burkey's website.

It may not be the most exciting Spidey pose, but very few hand-colored Romita pieces are out there. So it is very special.

I owe a special thanks to fellow "comic art fan" Rafael Amat for the hookup and also to Mike Burkey for verifying its authenticity and for getting it signed by Romita back in the day.

Nice pick up Blake! I swore the Spidey design was on a pencil case or plastic wallet I had from when I was a kid in the mid 80s

I actually held this art in my hands once. I'm pleased it found a worthy owner. Nothing quite like a Romita Sr. Spider-Man. Classic stuff.
