DescriptionAh, memories. Growing up, when we went out to visit our Grandmother, she had a box full of comics she kept for us. Some we had bought, some were given to her when neighbors found out she was watching her young grandchildren. We had superhero books, but mostly it was Gold Key horror and science fiction titles. My favorite "horror" book was The Occult Files of Doctor Spektor. Fantastic artwork by Philipino artist Jesse Santos, once I grew up and started collecting artwork, I tried to find examples by him, but all I could find were cover paintings that were way out of my price range. Finally came across a nice set of comic pages, this one and the page preceding it in the comic. Didn't have this particular issue as a child, but seeing it always brings back those childhood memories. I love Lakota's line, "Why is it that everywhere we go we have to end up in some dreary castle or cemetery?". Yep, about once a month, that's where they ended up. :-)Social/Sharing |

Very nice page! I ~love~ Santos's art and Spektor was a cool book.
