Wrightson - Don't Axe - Trading Card Art Set 2/22

I have really enjoyed the last 2 1/2 years I've been collecting Bernie Wrightson's artwork, and the friends I've made here on CAF and via other art sites... Sadly, financial constraints beyond my control are going to throttle me back for a while, but I'm sure I'll be back again.

Happily, I had scheduled this purchase with Wallace, and since I love anyone Bernie draws with an axe in hand and his vision of gnarly trees, this sure fit the bill for my interests. And to boot, yet another piece of trading card art I can call my own.

Bernie's text from the trading card reads: "Don't Axe - Our woodcutter sports a dramatic ankle length Mac with a high collar and double-pleated shoulder thingie. A bold fashion statement"

A double-pleated "thingie"... What a great man and sense of humor to boot...

For anyone who gets into a situation to work with Wallace H (Wally), you couldn't ask for a more friendly and professional approach, and his packaging was outstanding.
