Description

Being born a LONG time ago, Casper was pretty prevalent in my world. He was on television, I had coloring books and comic books with him in it. And one of the earliest stories told by my parents about me was when the found me hiding in the pots and pans cupboard. They asked what I was doing, and I responded that I was "playing with my friend Casper". In those days, they didn't attempt to disprove it or teach me a lesson... I just kept on playing. So in family lore, Casper has been with me a very long time. I probably should have picked up something sooner, but am still very pleased to have this complete story in my collection. I tried to determine who did the art but did not find anything in my usual sources. So I'm going to assume it was Marty Taras... who often shared the art duties with Warren Kremer. And art for most issues around this time seemed to have been shared by the two... I am by no means an expert on the styles between the two, but it just "feels" more like Taras' work to me. If anyone can be more definitive, I'd love to hear from you.
