Hitch, Bryan - The Midnighter!

Boo-yah! Bryan was *the* reason we trekked up to Dallas for the Wizard show in 2005, so I'm just stoked beyond belief that I got this fantastic sketch from him. The Midnighter is my favorite character from STORMWATCH/THE AUTHORITY, so even though I usually like to request female characters from artists, I just had to go with this insane bastard. Pretty awesome watching Bryan work - he did the really basic head/face in pencil, then went in and "inked" with a couple of different sized markers, then went back in and did the tonal shadows on the cowl in pencil. Sometimes it is good to be king, or in my case, deputy king as I'm the deputy moderator for Bryan's official Yahoogroup, Hitch-Fans. It was wonderful to finally meet Bryan, and getting him to draw something especially for me was just icing on the cake. Pencils/markers on 11"x14" Bristol.
