Description

While on patrol, Aquaman and Aqualad encounter a runaway ship. They try to intercept it but are whisked away by pincers.

Nick never had an inker and I've never seen any comic art that looked like he did full pencils. I guess there just wasn't the time. He probably worked out a lot in his head or used thumbnails.

This page doesn't have much in the way of blacks, so you can still see a lot of his rough blue pencils. He drew just enough so the letterer knew where to work. Afterward, Nick worked his magic and finished off the page from there. I like how the blue pencils complement the inks.

Aquaman was created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger.

Aqualad was created by Robert Bernstein and Ramona Fradon.
