DescriptionHad bumped into Charlie earlier in the day at N.I.C.E con and he said he would be sketching at 12pm. Noticed that Steve Dillon had started beforehand and didn't manage to get away from the Dillon queue before Charlie's line had filled. It's not exceptionally difficult to get something from him right now, because he has been very generous with his time and made a lot of appearances in the past 12 months. Regardless you kinda need to get in line early.Come the end of the day I was still near his table and he had finished up so I popped over to have a brief chat and say that I would try and catch him on day 2. The family was with me for Day 1 so it was slow going. It just so happened that part way through the conversation both of my girls turned up (after having had some time out) and seeing as they were not going to be there tomorrow I asked if he would do something for them. He's such a nice guy, he sat back down at the table and unpacked his pens then after looking at some reference did a sketch for them. They had some pretty cool interaction with him and had their picture taken. I ended up laughing far too much at the whole escapade, especially when we didn't get the comic back for about 5 - 10 mins due to other attendees wanting a picture of Charlie holding it or just the comic itself. I think everyone was amused... possibly in Charlie's case shocked that it was the most popular thing he had drawn all day. Social/Sharing |

I got him to do a similar sketch on the same MLP blank variant while he was at the NC Comicon in November last year. Your sketch is far more detailed and complex than the one he did for me! I love it! I'll have to add a pic to my page so you can see it. I can attest that Charlie is an incredibly nice guy, and he really got a kick out of my oddball request.
