Description

I'd heard about Chris's troubles via the Hero Initiative and, remembering how much I enjoyed his stuff in Excalibur and the JLA titles, wanted to do something. I'd contacted him through facebook and was -amazed- at how great this thing turned out. I mean, it's not like I didn't like his art originally, but man~ is this thing good. (and check out his other recent stuff here on CAF)

His work always had a nice "fun" quality about it and at the time I was rereading some old Blue Devils and the two just fit perfectly. I've always like the Hobgoblin and Jack O' Lantern characters and thought the BD meeting Jack sounded like a nice idea. Seriously, if comics were still fun I'd put Chris on Blue Devil ->likethat<-. How is this not~ a lost BD cover? Wonderful pose and great, great face on BD.

I would second Chris for a new Blue Devil run as long as it was this version! The trident and BD's face are classic! Nice match-up. Would have made a great Halloween cover! Thumbs up on this!
