Swan, Curt + Vey, Al - Aquaman #4 cover

After Curt Swan was unceremoniously dumped from the main SUPERMAN titles one of the relatively few assignments he received was to be the artist for a five issue AQUAMAN Mini-Series. This cover is dated 6-27-89 on the back of the artwork.

I have collected Curt Swan's work since I was about 8 years old, and although I have a recreated cover he did in pencil, this is the first published cover of Curt's I have ever owned!

The title is on an acetate layover, so in the additional images you can see the cover without the layover. There is also a layout sheet with instructions for the placement of the logo, and a copy of the printed comic book.

I'm pretty excited to have this nice example which came from the collection of Ray DeForest in September 2014.
