Description

When I saw this piece for sale last year, I was pretty determined to get it. I am a huge Gilbert Hernandez fan both his new stuff and all of his Love and Rockets work especially the early Palomar stuff. This calendar piece from 1990 depicts four characters who died during the series: Manuel, Pintor, Toco and Tonantzin. Fans of these stories will remember the tree for sure.This is a very simple, elegant piece that I am proud to feature in my collection.

What a great piece to have in your collection--such a simple yet powerful image. I'm currently re-reading all of the Palomar stories and when I came across this image in your collection, I couldn't help reflecting on the enormity of what Beto has accomplished over the last 40 years.
