Accompanying the painting is a short handwritten note (below) in the hand of Powers that reads:

"Herein lies an anomaly, a painting into which Franz Kafka has intruded (lower right center). It is thought that he may have forged some of the dead Sea Scrolls, perhaps the one concerning Picasso, And if so why? And why Rosa Luxumberg of all people.

Picasso may possibly be seen in this painting if the viewer is a)suggestible enough, or b) adequately psychotic in his/her own right"
