Description

Stan Lee tasked writer Marv Wolfman to use real life Israeli illusionist/magician Uri Geller in a Daredevil story. Wolfman had DD and Uri team up in this 1976 issue to take on the nefarious schemes of Mind-Wave and his fearsome Think Tank!

FYI Part One: Panel 1 is very similar to the issue's cover.

FYI Part Two: That's Uri in panel 3.

FYI Part Three: DD and Uri would never team up again.

Sense-shattering, spoon-bending action! That first panel is quite nifty. Jim Mooney did a fine job inking this issue. Congrats Steve!

How the heck you come up with useless trivia like Uri? Same with the SSOC page, how you know the name of the lady of the woods? Did you really read all these comic books? I'm impressed if you did but am thinking you just did a comic.org search ;-)

you'd figure Murdoch, being a lawyer and all, would know a few Jews, right?

Not one of Stan's greatest ideas. I remember reading the comic in 1976 and found it less than satisfying, not to say silly. It definitely felt like a let down after the Bullseye issues. I'd say that the Brown/Mooney art saved the day, not Uri Geller.

I wonder if Uri Geller really, really, really, really tried..... if he could bend DD's billy club?

Maybe Marvel planned an Uri G. series with him as a mind-bending action hero and this was the weird try-out issue. Remember that they also had a series with a duck in a suit from another dimension in this period...
