DescriptionTo me, the late Dave Cockrum's main claim to fame is his stretch with the Legion of Super Heroes. I'm glad to get something he did. If you look carefully, there's a horizontal discontinuity in the hair. Behind the image you see is another drawing of the same face only larger as well as another layer that's just a mouth. There doesn't seem to be any reason they didn't just go with the original. The story is "Fatale attraction." The face in the second panel is straight from the comics of the 40's and 50's.
