The Ranzz Family by Nate Stockman

This commission is another idea that I've talked about with Nate for some time, and I'm glad it finally happened. The only real guideline I gave Nate here was to draw the whole Ranzz family, doing whatever he liked. I almost expected an action sequence, but I'm overjoyed that I got this Ranzz family portrait instead! It's too perfect and I hope that the Ranzz family send this out as their Klordny card! First, there's Garth (Lightning Lad) and Imra (Saturn Girl) in the middle, looking like a normal married couple. Then, you have their kids, Graym and Garridan, acting like kids should. Above Garth and Imra, we have Ayla (Lightning Lass), and she's holding a holo-projection from Takron-Galtos of her brother Mekt (Lighting Lord). And towering above them all is Validus, Garridan's giant form from when he was mutated by Darkseid. Lately, Validus and Garridan have inexplicably existed at the same time, so Nate put them here together. And then, instead of having a pet dog, the Ranzz family have a Lightning Beast of Korbal as a pet! AND there's a stuffed animal version of Proty, referencing his honorary membership in the family from when he sacrificed his life force to bring Garth back from the dead and maybe became Garth due to whichever continuity you choose to remember. This piece is genius, and is definitely one of the highlights of my collection. Thanks again, Nate!
