There are times when I think artists are just "phoning it in". Resting on their laurels and not really doing the work they are capable of. This piece proves that Bernie is not one to do so! The skill involved here...not just the figures, but the roofing and bricks, along with the rain effects demonstrate that he is an artist who will do what pleases him, and not just turn in work to get paid. This piece makes me very happy...it is one of the finest Wrightson's I have seen in quite a while!

In terms of mood, texture, and of course detail, it simply does not get much better than this. A true, true, master in every sense. You must be so happy and so proud. Whereas I can only envy. Congratulations Rob!

I am not familiar with Wrightson's body of work, but this is stunning. I was literally transported to another time. Out of curiousity, when was this done?
