Description

TOM HICKEY (New York 1910- Connecticut 1984)

An intersting work from 1949 edition of Hi School Romance #64, complete story of four pages. Tom Hickey frequented National Academy of Design and worked as a teacher at the WPA in New York City 1930. He was cartoonist for the Army newspaper Stars & Stripes and after the War he worked for National/D.C. Comics and Dell Comics, ACG, Quality Comics, Harvey and Lev Gleason.
In the 1960 he drew also story-boards for the television advertising industry.
