A gorgeous splash page by the late great John Buscema (with inks attributed to Tony DeZuniga). Although this was not done on art board, it is a truly magnificent page indeed.

For your knowledge pencils composition (John never did a full tight finished pencils on this one) &/or breakdowns are from John inking is definitively not by Tony!

The scale is truly epic - and it must be great to own a battle scene between Thor and Hercules - there just aren't enough to go around! The framing is also so clever. It takes a while to notice the rocks falling towards the battling soldiers below, emphasising the difference in 'scale' between the epic contest of the gods and the warfare of the lowly foot soldiers beneath them. A brilliant page.
