Description

The Legion Academy has been around since the 1960's, though most of the students have never gotten any major story arcs. However, a lot of the students have made major impressions with their limited appearances. For this Legion Squad, I asked Joel Carroll to draw some of the more prominent students from the original Academy. This particular group of students showed up a lot in the 80's and honestly, I wish that they had gotten a spin-off series. Laurel Kent and Power Boy had two of my favorite designs ever, but I dug them all.

This squad of Legion Academy students consists of Shadow Kid, Visi-Lad, Crystal Kid, Laurel Kent, Lamprey, Power Boy and Nightwind. This group looks fantastic here, as rendered by Joel. His Laurel Kent is super-cute (no pun intended). I love the sparkles around Crystal Kid, and Power Boy's muscle flexing. And I love how Joel drew Nightwind's costume and Visi-Lad's stance. Thanks, Joel!
