DescriptionI'd enjoyed putting together the "last issue spectacular" covers that Mitch did for me so much that I couldn't help but think about building out that 80's Crusaders universe.I wish I could offer some great story about how I came up with this one but, really, I just wanted as many villains on one cover as possible just to showcase them. When I couldn't fit them all on the last issue's cover the story became a two parter. This issue's cover is based around Mark Bagley's cover for Fantastic Four #15. As always, I hope Crusaders fans approve :) I'm a fan of TJ's work and as this is the last of the covers he did for me I'm said to see his "run" come to an end. That said, I think he goes out guns blazing! I'll miss his CatGirl, the intensity he gives the Jaguar and of course the faces. This cover's worth it just for Doctor Evil and the Deathless Smiler alone. Original size 11x17 ------- In This Issue ... You Can Run But You Can't Hide! Part 2 Things take a horrible turn for the worst as the super-villains strike back! The Crusaders' greatest foes band together not only to free those villains already imprisoned but to strike directly at the team itself! And when things can't seem to be able to get any worse the evil mystics summon the dreaded Deathless Smiler itself! And what's this?? Next month debuts the first ever King-Sized Mighty Crusaders Special! Who is the villain from the earliest days of the Archie comics returning to bring death and destruction to an unsuspecting world? Tune in next month to find out! This Issue's Cover ... Mister Midnight, CatGirl, the Shield and the Jaguar are on the run from the Crusaders' greatest foes: the Eraser, the Druid, the Wizard, the Brain Emperor, Phantasmon, Eterno, Doctor Evil and the Deathless Smiler.
