Wow! This one really turned out great. I was kind of surprised by the amount of detail and the cool backgrounds.

This...is perfection. I'm going to gush a little now - seriously, did the artist read the series?! The details are so SPOT ON! This feels like a direct continuation of cover #11, with the ultimate added bonus of Lady Turquoise (who, as far as I'm concerned, makes everything better ^_^) And Dark Opal represented as the master swordsman he is...simply glorious! This piece is a masterwork, pure & simple. Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta wipe the drool from my keyboard.

Whoops! Screwed that up didn't I. Lady Turquoise not Prince Topaz. I thought you might love this one. I'm not sure if Allan had ever heard of Amethyst before I asked for her. I imagine the close parallel to that cover comes from some of the reference I sent him (a picture of cover #11). Allan's attention to detail and backgrounds are almost unheard of in today's commissioned work. One tiny thing though, he forgot Amy's gem. That little omission doesn't take anything away from the piece though.

The whole thing is amazing, but I particularly love the giant Greyskull mouth on the door arch.
