DescriptionAnd so the descent begins. Even with all the tempting images and happily ever after timelines, it is still hard to imagine a hero falling. But although we don't act on the impulse or dark thoughts, there is a small part that deep down, if we are honest with ourselves, is at times sorely tempted. We might not see it as "wrong" but see it as "only fair" or justice or a balancing of the scales. For us, that may be our Ego vs our Id vs our Super-ego but if you are from the planet Cragg, and that small voice can become a distinctive body, what mayhem might follow ? The Trapper is becoming more sinster and things are looking darker Social/Sharing |

This great commission makes me wonder why I've never gotten a John Watson piece. Another stellar effort.

When I first saw the thumbnail of this piece, I thought that was the Spectre looming overhead. And I was almost right, considering the cover it is based on! Another stellar effort from Mr. Watson! I'm gonna have to commission him as well, one day.

If you cant get to Baltimore, I would mail it to you...after drooling over it for a significant length of time of course ;-)

But thanks for the offer, and I might just e-mail you about getting one this summer.

Great cover by JW! The next cover has just got to be "Dark Damsel".

There are a few steps before we get there but the Damsel will indeed be Dark, Dangerous, Duplictious ( my favorite word for her,on the e-mails between John, Russ & myself, as a play on "duplicate" )and downright DISGUSTING DISTURBINGLY DEPRAVED

Always a treat and love the retro cover design and masthead. This shows how much better John Watson is doing pencils than painting in my opinion. He really did a great job on this.

I know I'm beating a dead horse(sort of),when I say I just love the colored version. One of these days you will just have to indulge me by making that the main image! :) Outstanding in B&W too of course! Another knockout from John and Russ!

Just a thought...it would be cool if her third body came back as an undead entity. The third body would either join her in being evil, or would be the one to bring her back to the good side!

Noooooooooo!!!!!!! I hate it when good characters go dark! But love how you develop stories. I love the retro cover style and JW is a fantastic find. As always....keep them coming!
