Description

A commission from Tim Sale that I promptly had framed before I scanned it. This one was actually in trade for a VERY hard to find collectible that Tim was actively looking for and which I only found after more than a year of hunting and then had signed to Tim by the artist. I rotate a lot of things around at home and the office, but this one stays up because my wife loves it too and wants to see it on the wall.

Benno!!! Glad you finally posted this! I remember the story of how you acquired this, on Tim's Message Board, the good ole' days when we were one big group! I rememeber the story goes that Tim was looking for a Jack Davis Frankenstein life-size poster, and was offering Free Sketches For Life as the incentive. You went and got the Jack Davis Frankenstein poster, and had Jack Davis himself sign it, and you were kind not to have Tim commit to the 'Free-Sketches-For-Life' deal, and instead asked Tim to draw you a nice Bats/Cats commission instead. I remember this was my favorite Tim Sale piece, and again, glad you finally put it up! I also remember you saying the frame fell off the wall after you got it framed. A lot of great times and fun conversations went with this piece. Good times! Congrats Benno!
