DescriptionThe Dark Phoenix Saga had such a huge impact on me that I had to get a commission of Jean Grey from John Byrne (a big thank you to Jim Warden for the assist). Despite all of the debates over the last few decades on whether the Phoenix was evil or not, for me, the Phoenix was a hero above all. So I asked Mr. Byrne to draw Jean before the dark times. I love how her hair follows the firebird and how innocent she looks. It reminds me of the golden age of the X-Men.Thank you John!!! Social/Sharing |

I couldn't help a huge smile when I saw this beautiful, beautiful piece. It brought back so many good memories, only John Byrne's art has such a strong effect on me. Congratulations !
