Gouache on 1/8" Illustration Board. The painting has an unattractive, ageing mat glued to it that has likely been affixed since the original owner had it framed back in the 50's or 60's, so I've cropped that out and am only showing everything inside the live area.

This is a lovely double page spread for the story "Forbidden Fancy" by Edward Lindall, published in the August 9th, 1958 issue of the Saturday Evening Post. Notice how the front plane is in shadow, while just a couple of steps behind the woman the man is lit differently. This is a deceptively tricky thing to pull off, but a masterful illustrator such as Morgan Kane makes it look effortless!
