Karate Kid vs. The Flash by Scott Kolins

I've been a fan of Scott Kolins' art for years, ever since he drew a fun fill-in story in Excalibur. After drawing a little bit of everything for a few years, Scott did a short run on The Legion of Super-Heroes before he began a defining run on The Flash. I've continued to follow Scott's work through pretty much every book he's worked on, from The Avengers to Solomon Grundy to his new creator-owned book Adam.3, and he has never disappointed. So when I had the opportunity to commission Scott, I leapt at the chance! And I am pleased as punch to show off this Karate Kid vs. the Flash commission! I really love the tones, the speed force lightning and the super-speed movement of Wally's arm as he tries to tag Val. Thanks so much to Scott for this amazing commission!

So, thinking logically, the Flash is WAY faster than Karate Kid and SHOULD defeat him. But the problem is that comics don't always work logically. I mean, the Flash has been knocked out by slower opponents numerous times. And Karate Kid has fought speedsters (most famously Don Allen of the Tornado Twins) before and held his own, whether he should have been able to or not. So should Val win? Probably not. But COULD he win? Of course!

This may be the best KK vs. piece of the year! Scott still draws an amazing Flash! Pretty good Val too! :)
