Guilty pleasure.

I loved this first issue. I was reading everything at Marvel when this book came out, and it was just so distinct and fun and out of left field for the West Coast Avengers.

The powers were silly, the characters sorta dumb, but it had this great quality of fun to it. It sorta fit that Hawkeye could be leader of this group...

Flatman, Big Bertha and Dinah Soar appear in this masterpiece!

This is also one of those funny cases where the artist doesn't matter at all. To me it's a Great Lakes Avengers first appearance page! The fact that John Byrne happened to draw it is a nice "oh, and this is cool too..."
