One of my favorite childhood heroes, I never thought about how they needed to emphasize the race of the heroes at the time such as Black Panther, Black Goliath, Black Lightning etc. which is funny now.

Nice!
In the case of "Black Panther", that it is the an umbrella term that refers to any big cat with a black coat - which is exactly what the fictional King of Wakanda emulates.

I love this splash--fantastic image of Black Goliath, Tuska gave him such attitude, which the dialogue brings to life perfectly. And to be honest usually I can't stand Colletta but he actually did a really nice job on this page! Congrats Leo!

Leo, a great Bronze Age splash! Colletta's inks here over Tuska were incredible! No artwork today even comes close to matching great pages like this from a long time ago when everything was a lot simpler, and better!

I also loved Black Goliath as a kid...too bad the Champions series got cancelled as he was set to officially join as a regular on the team... Great splash!
