Wolverine #66 (Old Man Logan) p2-3, prelim

Seen here is McNiven's prelim rough for the opening splash of the Old Man Logan storyline. Logan is riding home, thinking back on his life.

This is a more traditionally Western looking version of Logan and the Old Man Logan world. It appears that McNiven was experimenting with this splash, as I've seen a couple different versions of it, trying to get the right blend of post-apocalyptic but yet still Western. Personally, I think he nailed it in the final version, which veered more towards the dystopian, but it's still neat to see a different take on the storyline's visual aesthetic.
