DescriptionThis one is another father/son team-up as my son Matt was heavily involved in this request. On a road trip back home from JB's Matt and I were discussing possible commission ideas and we decided to go for characters that we don't currently have any examples of in our JB collection. One of Matt's favorite characters is Dragon Man so he was the first choice; we kicked around some other ideas for who he would be facing off against and we quickly agreed on The Inhumans. The only art direction we gave JB was a BIG Dragon Man and to have Gorgon prominent.The original is spectacular and looks much nicer than the small scan presented here! Social/Sharing |

I think what impresses me most here is the fine architectural details in the background. Well, and Dragon Man. He is awesome. Congrats, and Happy New Year Jim!

Jim, Wonderfully conceived & executed by you, Matt and Byrne! Dragon Man looks as imposing as ever (shades of Captain America 248) in thrall of Maximus. Gorgon is great, the detail on Attilan is mesmerizing, and it's cool that the FF are here too. But I really like Crystal trying to restrain Lockjaw here, plus Triton riding that wave! Epic.

Great story Jim! Love the piece and the process of coming up with the idea...Nominated for Dad of the Year, Jim Warden. ANYONE who doubts that JB still has mad skills, look at exhibit 1: Dragon Man vs the Inhumans. This is a thing of beauty! What I also like about your process is it is dreamed up with a fun pure playfulness, "you know what would be cool is..." not thought up as investment potential (ie. X-Men vs Magneto). BRAVO!!!
