Description

As described here (http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1304899), I commissioned Anthony CASTRILLO about a Shi'ar Imperial Guard commission.
January 2010, Anthony sent me a scanned image of the finished art but it took a looooong time to have it in my own hands.
At one point I even believed that I would never get the art. So I contacted french artist Jean-Louis SANGLAN and asked him to recreate AC's commission in a style reminiscent of Jean FRISANO's.
For those unfamiliar with Jean FRISANO, he was the main cover artist for french "Editions Lug" which mainly published series from Marvel superheroes material, especially Uncanny X-Men (UXM #107-108 have been translated in 1979 in a magazine called Special Strange)
In my opinion, Jean-Louis did a fantastic job on this recreation!
