DescriptionLoved Dave's Rocketeer from the first time I read it in Pacific Comics Starslayer. Always a fan of the old Commando Cody serials, Dave created a great homage to that era. Been wanting an example from the original story but the family won't be selling any of the art. I was able to get a nice example, No Betty or Rocketeer (the good examples were long gone) but I got a fine example of Dave's work. It includes Cliff and Peevy, some great dialog (boy I miss that on modern comic art) and expressions by Peevy. The cherry on top is the inclusion of the Bull Dog Cafe (an LA landmark) on the page. Thrilled to own a Rocketeer page by Dave.Social/Sharing |

These are great, congratulations on getting one. They have a real attention to detail and excellent golden age layouts.

Great page. I'd be just fine with this page solely because it has the Bulldog Cafe.

Fun page. Dave really nailed the golden age look in panel design and layouts. He must have been looking at Baker's work at Fiction House to draw his inspiration from.

Almost anything Dave touched is great and to have a ROCKETEER page is something special!

There are just no words, Dave Stevens was a master. I would have made the purchase of this page for Peevy's expression in the 7th panel alone.
