Jack Kirby's Fourth World #12, Cover

What can I say about this cover? As a huge Mister Miracle fan, when it came available, I just had to have it. John Byrne expertly sums up everything that's great about the character in this spectacular image. Byrne really took Kirby's legacy seriously, and crafted great stories without invalidating in any way what Kirby had done, just as he did on his brilliant Fantastic Four run. I wish Byrne was doing more Marvel and DC comics today, rather than all the manga-wannabes that seem hellbent on altering beloved characters beyond recognition.
